This collection consists of research materials collected by the law firm of Schiff, Hardin, & Waite in connection with representation of the Sac and Fox tribes before the United States Indian Claims Commission regarding cession 262. The bulk of the collection consists of photo-prints from microfilmed surveyors notes and other land records together with computer tabulations of those records which were used to support valuation claims. The collection also includes 99 volumes of published Indian Claims Commission court dockets.
